Herbert L. Houle

Herbert L. Houle, 73, beloved husband of the late Cynthia L. Houle was Promoted to Glory on Sunday, January 26, 2020 after battling a long illness.

Born on November 26, 1946 in Newburyport MA, he was the son of the late Helen (Wright) Juliano of Newburyport, MA. After graduating from Newburyport High School, he worked at Western Electric and then Bailey Corp. One of his proudest moments, besides marrying the love of his life in 1972 and having his children, was when he received his Respiratory Therapy certification from Northern Essex Community College. He worked at the former Hale Hospital as a respiratory therapist until he was forced to retire due to his illness. In his early years he loved working on cars, hunting and fishing but as time went on his favorite activities were working on computers, singing show tunes and gospel songs at the top of his lungs, having coffee with his best friends and watching his children and grandchildren grow.

He is survived by his children Jason Houle and his wife Keri of Plaistow, NH, Matthew Houle and wife Tiffany of Amesbury, MA and Rebecca Parseghian and husband Kenneth of Newburyport, MA and grandchildren Autumn, Alex, Evan, Emily, Kylee, Lillie and Luke. He is survived and predeceased by many cousins who were like his brothers and sisters.

Family and friends may call from 9:00 to 11:00 AM on Friday January 31, 2020 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. His Funeral Service will follow in the Funeral Home followed by burial at Wildwood Cemetery in Seabrook.
