Gordon Marshall Obituary

Gordon Marshall, 86, of Newburyport, MA, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2025, at his home with his family by his side.

Born on October 5, 1938, in Newburyport, Gordon was the son of the late Joseph and Edith (Clough) Marshall.  He was the beloved husband of Judith Marshall, with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Gordon was the proud father of his two sons, Peter and Eric, loving daughters-in-law Kathy and Kim, and the adoring grandfather of his 3 granddaughters, Natalie, Kylie, and Erin.

He is also survived by his sisters Andrea and husband Bruce Eaton, Sandra Gagnon, and Gloria Williams.  He will be remembered by his in-laws Paulene Marshall, Kathy Marshall, Najla Marshall, Pamela and Richard Murray, Ginger Beaton, and David Beaton, as well as his many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Gordon was an avid supporter of NHS athletics and loved to attend his granddaughters’ sporting events whenever he could.

Gordon graduated from Newburyport High School in 1958 and then went on to serve in the Army National Guard.  He was a skilled carpenter taking pride in the many houses he built and remodeled throughout the local area.

Family and friends may call from 1:00 to 2:30 PM on Thursday January 9, 2025 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Gordon’s Funeral Service will be held in the Funeral Home following the calling hours at 2:30 with burial at Belleville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Mr. Marshall’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital online at www.stjude.org
