George Piche Obituary

Amesbury MA - George Willis Piche, passed away peacefully with family members by his side in Boston.

George was born in Newburyport MA, he is the son of Janice P. (Souther) Piche and the late Louis N. Piche, Sr.

George was born and raised in the south end of Newburyport. There were family members on every street. He grew up in the best of times with the closeness of cousins on every street. It was a tight-knit community were everyone was familiar with the word YEAT! It was a word he used often. There was always a football, baseball and other sport game on every street and George definitely joined in every game.

George moved to Salisbury, MA in his teens were he was blessed to have the same environment. He was a family person always helping others. He was a socialite that could fit in anywhere, and that he did.

He was employed by many local factories over the years. George’s likes were camping, fishing, kayaking, and especially enjoyed just being with family and friends. Material things were never important to him, and he would give anything he had to please others.

George, was married a few times. His first wife had two sons, William True & Kevin Downs. They later had a daughter together Keri Ann. Many years went buy being a single dad raising a daughter. He then met his second wife Kathy (Duquette) Piche. Kathy had three sons Aaron, Isaac and Curtis Mears. George and Kathy separated but remained best friends and always kept in touch.

George was the caregiver for his mother. He always made sure to update and take great care of her. He was a socialite in her neighborhood always helping people out. Running there errands and doing well checks on all of them. There wasn't a better neighbor.

George, left behind his wife Kathy Piche, their children, daughter Keri Lavalley and her husband Thomas LaValley, stepsons from two marriages, Aaron, Isaac, and Curtis Mears, as well as William True and Kevin Downs; and grandchildren, Karleigh and Emalee. He also leaves behind his mother Janice Piche, and his sister's and brother’s.
