Francis "Curley" O'Brien Obituary

Francis "Curly" Clark O’Brien,76, passed away Monday October 7, 2024 at his home. He was born November 20, 1947 in Newburyport to Dorothy Burns and Francis O'Brien. 

Curley served in the Army National Guard for 42 years and retired as a Staff Sargent, CO A 101 ENGR BN.

Curly enjoyed ice fishing, playing the guitar and singing with his life long friend Oggie. Curly like hanging out with the guys and Sunday dinner at home with family.

Curly is survived by his wife Sharon O’Brien, his brother Ted Ceader, his sisters Theresa Heywood, Dorothy McDonald, his three children Francis O'Brien. Maria Nixon and Raymond O'Brien whom he shares with Dale Kent, 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Dennis Ceader his sisters Karol Valey and Katherine Watts.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Wednesday October 16, 2024 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. His Graveside Service with Military Honors will be held at the Veterans Section at Old Hill Cemetery in Newburyport on Thursday October 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM.
