Frances L. LaPierre, 90, died at Cornerstone at Hampton, early Saturday morning August 29, 2020. She was born in Newburyport on September 22, 1929 to the late Joseph and Mary (Oshioski) Kiman. Raised and educated in Newburyport she was a 1947 graduate of Newburyport High School. Following her graduation she was employed briefly by Towle Silver Smith until her marriage in 1953 to the late John A. LaPierre and became a stay at home mom raising their family. Later on Frances was employed by the IRS, followed by Susan Bristol Clothing as an Operator until her retirement in 1983.
Frances loved camping with her family, especially at the Shawtown Campground in Freedom, NH, as well as traveling to Aruba for over 20 years. In her spare time she enjoyed knitting, playing Bingo and was an avid Red Sox Fan. She will always be remembered as a Great Mom and a Super Grandmother who always put her family first.
Frances is survived by her children, John LaPierre and his wife Robin of Newburyport, and Andrea Bronzetti and her husband Alan of Greenland; grandchildren, John LaPierre, Kristin Piracini, Jamie Karopoulos, Kevin Doyle, Kimberly Zane, Jonathan, Arslanian, Adam Arslanian, Ali Donovan, Brian Crowley, and Jamie Crowley; as well as 9 great grandchildren; her brother Mitch Kiman of Kingston, NH; and many nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her children, Gerald LaPierre and Paula Doyle; and siblings, Mary, Anna, Stacy, Josie, Mike, Stanley, Benny, Henry, and Louie.
Family and friends are invited to her calling hours on Thursday September 3, 2020 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Her Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church and burial at St. Mary Cemetery will be private.
