Evelyn "Evie" J. (Jaques) Graham

Evelyn “Evie” J. Graham, 104, died peacefully September 14, 2022 at Mayo Healthcare in Northfield, VT.

She was born November 13, 1917 to Joseph and Ethel (Kingston) Jaques in Newburyport, Mass.

Evelyn attended school in Newbury and graduated from Newburyport High School in 1936. She then went on to Salem Hospital School of Nursing for three years and graduated as an RN. On September 4th 1949 she married Gordon B. Graham at the First Parish Church Newbury MA. She was devoted to her beloved husband of 70 ½ years, four children and extended families. She loved to read and always had a wonderful vegetable and flower garden. She was always busy at home and enjoyed her neighbors and friends and particularly, her grandchildren. She was loving, giving, kind and thoughtful. She hosted many wonderful family dinners.  She was well loved at Mayo where she lived for 9 ½ years and had the best of care.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gordon, her parents Joseph and Ethel Jaques, her four sisters and their husbands Helen (Ernie), Thelma (Peter), Elizabeth (John) and Laura and three brothers and their wives Raymond, Earl (Dorothy) and Joseph (Gladys), and niece Amy.

She is survived by her four children Gordon Graham (Heidi), Polly Hunt (Clark), Robert Graham (Rachel) and David Graham (Mary) , seven grandchildren Rebecca Ricketts (Chris), Gillian Graham (Robin), Britney Graham, Fiona Graham, Olivia Graham, Ashley Essrig and Alex Graham and one great grandson Ronan Sleith. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews and their families.

Funeral arrangements are being made by Day Funeral Home Inc. in Randolph, VT and Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home in Newburyport, MA.

Her graveside service, celebrated by Minister Brad Gardner will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newburyport, Massachusetts on October 1, 2022 at 11:00 AM.
