Ethel A Gadomski, 99, passed peacefully on the morning of Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Country Nursing Center in Newburyport. She was the loving wife of the late Benjamin Gadomski.
Born in Newburyport, October 31, 1923, Ethel was the daughter of the late George & Lillian (Schrempf) Roaf. She lived in Newburyport her whole life. She graduated from Newburyport High School in 1942. She married her sweetheart Ben in 1947. Ethel worked for Towle Silversmiths for many years until her retirement.
She was predeceased by her siblings Audrey Eusko, Marion DeParolesa, & Jackie Farris. She also leaves behind a brother George Roaf and a sister Judi Decie. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other special family members and great longtime friends.
Ethel was always willing to help anyone who needed it. She loved to socialize and enjoyed her time with friends. She was a fashion statement with her beautiful white hair and big chunky earrings and necklaces. Ethel was a strong, determined and fiercely independent woman. She will be sadly missed by many.
Services and burial will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Gadomski’s family with her arrangements.
Donations can be made in Ethel’s name to the Pettingal House.
