Edward “Ed” Joseph Tremblay, Jr. – Salisbury, MA
Edward “Ed” Joseph Tremblay, Jr. of Salisbury, MA, passed away in his family home on September 22, 2021 at the age of 79. He was born on March 7, 1942 to the late Edward Joseph Tremblay and Anna Mae (Murphy) Tremblay. Raised in Salisbury he attended Salisbury Memorial and Newburyport High School. In 1958, where he met the love of his life, Priscilla J. Smith, who continues his legacy. They married in 1961, and soon after started their family by welcoming their three children Carrie Lee, Cheryl Ann and Edward Joseph III (Ed). Edward has had many profound accomplishments in his life, but the most important to him was his family and the hard work to create a beautiful life for them. From working at L.L Smith Ice in his younger years, to Co-Owning EJ Tremblay Excavating alongside his son Ed, and in his spare time he took on projects restoring houses. Everyone who met him knew he was a kind and honest man who could reduce anyone to tears with his jokes and laughter. His summers and winters were spent surrounded by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren where he spent his fondest days. Edward is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Priscilla J. Tremblay of Salisbury, MA. His children, Carrie Tremblay of Salisbury, MA, Cheryl Cole of Murrieta, CA, Edward III and Deborah (O’Neil) Tremblay of Salisbury, MA. His grandchildren, LeeAnn and James Relyea of Oneida, NY, Shelby Cole of Riverview, FL, Coreen and William Pecoraro of Salisbury, MA, Jessica and John Sakowicz of Murrieta, CA. Along with his precious great-grandchildren, Brooke and Blake Neely of Riverview, FL, Sawyer, Averlee, and Ashlynne Relyea of Oneida, NY, and several nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. Edward Tremblay was the roots of a strong and loving family tree who will be loved and missed for forever and a day.
Calling hours are Wednesday, September 29, 2021 from 5 – 8:00 PM at Twomey, LeBlanc & Conte Funeral Home, 193 High Street, Newburyport, MA 01950. Funeral Services will take place on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the funeral service in Belleville Cemetery in Newburyport.
