Dorothy "Dottie" A. (Moeller) Sprague

Dorothy “Dottie” Sprague passed away at Avita of Newburyport on January 18, 2020 at the age of 81.

Dottie is lovingly remembered by her sons Scott and Christopher and his wife Mary, her grandchildren Sarah, Jack, Matthew, Sean, Thomas, and Stephen, and her great-grandchildren Caydence and Keeley.

Dottie was born in Arlington, MA on September 27, 1938, the only daughter of the late Willard and Mildred (Benson) Moeller. She graduated from Arlington High School in 1956 and went on to earn a bachelor’s degree at State Teachers College of North Adams in 1960. She was a teacher in Saugus and Miami.

Dottie was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who enjoyed gardening and volunteering at the Yankee Homecoming festival. She was an avid reader of the newspaper, a Patriots and Red Sox fan, and made the best peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 to 2:00 PM on Sunday February 2, 2020 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Services and Burial will be private at a later date.
