Diane Sabino Obituary

Diane A. (Chatigny) Sabino from Port St. Lucie Florida passed away peacefully April 3, 2026. She was born on October 5, 1945 to Edgar and Helen Chatigny in Salem, MA. Diane attended St. Chretienne Academy Salem, MA with inspirations to be a nun.

Diane married Louis Sabino in 1964 and had 8 children Scott Sabino, Kim Sabino/Lever, Jay Sabino, Troy Sabino, Todd Sabino, Tracey Sabino/Janvrin, Dean Sabino and Tory Sabino.

Diane retired from Bethany Homes in Haverhill, MA. as a care taker where she worked for over 20+ years

Diane was truly a woman of God. She had strong faith with God and ALWAYS would say..."Isn't God Good"! Diane lit up a room with her electric and affectionate personality. When you were greeted by Diane, you were loved and welcomed instantly. Diane spent the last 40 years with her partner Charlie Spate. They traveled and finally found themselves settling in Port St. Lucie Florida 10 years ago which she would refer to as her little slice of heaven or paradise.

Diane appreciated everything, no matter how big or small. Her favorite appreciation was the ocean, moon, a beautiful sunset and The New England Patriots. Diane made close friends where ever she settled but none closer to her than her Haverhill/work friends and also remained very close to Jeanne Langis and often considered the Langis family her 2nd family.

Diane loved life but she loved nothing more than her 8 children and 7 Grandchildren Todd, Trent, Cam, Nadia, Zachary, Taylor and Ashley as she referred to as her little tulips. She considered all her children and Grandchildren gifts from God and she loved every moment she spent with them. Diane never missed a sporting event, graduation or dance show. She was always the loudest cheerleader, You always knew she was in the audience and often found herself in the front seat.Diane never missed a holiday or special event, always with Louis Sabino by her side spite living in Florida. She once traveled from Florida for her Daughter Tracey's 50th birthday and spent less than 20 hours in Massachusetts before she flew back home. Diane never forgot a birthday. She remembered everyone's birthdays. So much that she made a list of names and birthdays and sent it to all her children and Grandchildren. That's how much she cherished her children and Grandchildren. Diane and Louis remained very close raising and participating in all their children's and Grandchildren's events together. Diane and Louis spent all holidays with their children and Grandchildren keeping the close loving family dynamic. Diane would always text Louis and state how lucky and blessed they were to have such a large loving close family.

Diane touched a lot of lives in her 80 years on this wonderful planet. Words can not begin to describe how much she is going to be missed. She was our rock, our life, our Mom, our friend. The world has lost a tremendous person. Diane was never afraid of passing, She knew, through her strong faith, she would be greeted by her maker and more importantly be welcomed by her Mom, Dad and precious son baby Troy. Heaven has gained a powerful angel. We will keep her beautiful soul alive with memories of this spectacular person.

Diane is survived by the father of her children Louis Sabino, her partner Charlie Spate, children Scott Sabino, Kim Sabino/Janvrin, Jay and Diane Sabino, Todd and Shantell Sabino, Tracey Sabino/Janvrin and Brian White, Dean Sabino and Jenn Roberts and Tory Sabino, as well as her 7 grandchildren.
