David Smith Obituary

David Michael Smith – Amesbury, MA

David Michael Smith was a beloved father of Tori Smith, David and his wife, Brittany Bearden Smith, and an adored grandfather of Brady and Colston Smith.  Pops was a proud and devoted father, grandfather, and friend.  Michael possessed a keen sense of humor and quick wit.  While outwardly stoic and quiet, he was a man of deep faith.

Michael was an avid New England sports fan who loved the Red Sox, Patriots, Celtics, and Bruins.  In high school, he was an outstanding athlete and as an adult was passionate about working out with his friends.

Michael was certainly a creature of habit.  Prior to his illness, he visited the fitness center daily.  He would often been seen sporting a cutoff T-shirt (to accentuate the pipes), sweatpants, and sipping on his beverage of choice, Diet Mountain Dew.  He will be missed deeply by all at the gym.

Michael was predeceased by his mother Pricilla (Canepa) Smith.

In addition to David, Brittany, Tori, Brady, and Colston, Michael is survived by his father, David C Smith; his brother, Jeffrey Smith; his sister, Paula Kelley and her husband, Michael; and the mother of his children, dear friend and the best ex-wife, Wendy Smith, and many nieces and nephews.
