Newburyport - Carol Jean (Fanaras) Beauparlant, 78, passed away peacefully at Avita of Newburyport on May 3, 2024 surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with dementia. Born in Newburyport, on May 22,1945, Carol was the daughter of the late Joseph Fanaras and Jean (Harnois) Fanaras.
Carol lived and worked in the city she loved her entire life. She was a proud graduate of Newburyport High School in 1963, where she met the love of her life, Will. They were married in 1964, marking the beginning of their 48 year journey together filled with love, laughter, and joy. Carol began her career as a telephone operator for Bell Atlantic Corporation while still in high school and dedicated 34 years of her life to the company before retiring in 1995. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy was spending time with friends and family, especially her grandchildren who she was incredibly proud of. Carol cherished family gatherings, holidays, and special occasions creating memories that will be treasured forever. In her free time, Carol found solace at church or in the garden, nurturing her flowers with love and care. She also found happiness in annual trips to the beaches of Florida and other parts of the country with her loved ones. Nights at the Park Lunch and Michael's Harborside were a weekly tradition, where she enjoyed the company of dear friends and family. Carol will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her kind heart, gentle spirit, and unwavering love will be remembered forever.
Carol is survived by her son Jason and his wife Heather Beauparlant of Newburyport; Brett Beauparlant of Newburyport; Jed and his wife Christie Beauparlant of Newburyport; her six grandchildren Cade, Callie, Cole, Reese, Parker, and Will; her brother Joseph Fanaras and his wife Dorothy of Newburyport; and many nieces and nephews she adored. Carol was predeceased by her husband Will, father Joseph, and mother Jean.
Family and friends are invited to Carol’s Funeral Service on Friday May 10, 2024 at 11:00am in the Belleville Congregational Church in Newburyport, followed by burial at Belleville Cemetery also in Newburyport. The Twomey. LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home is assisting Mrs. Beauparlant’s family with her arrangements.
