Barbara (Dobravolski) Summer

Barbara (Dobravolsky) Summer, 87, of Newburyport MA.

She was predeceased by her loving husband Richard “Dick” Summer.

Barb was proud to be Boston born and raised, with a sharp-edged wit. She was a published author, an avid reader, excellent at needlepoint, always working on at least one design with each stitch a small act of patience and artistry. She enjoyed gardening and had a great passion for her many horses while riding dressage style. 

Her main joy of life was her loving Husband Dick. Spanning many years of a deeply personal and close connection. 

Barbara is survived by her stepchildren, David (Julie) Summer, Eric (Brenda) Summer, Mark (Donna Trezza) Summer, Kurt Summer, Kristin Summer, & Heidi Kraft. She cherished her role as a grandmother to Cass Summer (David Coffee), Jacqui (Greg) Smith, Maxwell D'Angelo, Emma (Ruchel) D'Angelo, Erin MacKenzie, Sarah (Jon) Peteers. Great grandchildren Cecelia D'Angelo, Maxwell D'Angelo Jr., Nick & Vincent Smith, Evie & Amzi Coffee.

Barb lived her life as she wanted right up to the very end. 

Services and burial will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950, is assisting Mrs. Summer’s family with her arrangements.
