Aurelia was born and raised in Newburyport. She served with the Newburyport Civil Defense during WWII and worked at Towle Silversmiths, the IRS, Putnam Associates, and was bookkeeper at the Newburyport Bank until her retirement. Raya loved to bake, and on a Sunday morning the family would gather at her house to enjoy her blueberry muffins and catch up with each other. She was a talented seamstress and an avid cross-stitcher; her house is filled with her art. She will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank the staff at KIND Senior Care and the hospice nurses and aide at Elara Caring Hospice for their compassionate and dignified care of our mother.
