Arthur George Markos

Arthur “Artie” G. Markos passed away March 20, 2022 at Portsmouth Hospital after a battle with cancer with his loving family at his side. He was born on February 5, 1961 to the late George and Isabelle (Yelle) Markos. He grew up in Newburyport. He went on to become a bartender, cook and restaurateur. He had a love of music especially live music, camping, the beach, traveling and Christmas and anytime he spent with family and friends. 

Arthur leaves behind his sisters, Patricia Mandingo, Arlene Cross, Cynthia Irish, Christina Porter and her husband Eric; as well as his loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers Richard and Frank and sister Dorothy Cross. He was loved by all who entered his life and a true friend to all.

Family and friends may call from 12:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday March 26, 2022 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Services and burial will be private at a later date.  THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT.
