Anthony J. Christiano

Beloved Anthony John Christiano, age 64, passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly in the early morning at his home in Newburyport, MA on Friday July 3, 2026. He was a dedicated, brother, son, uncle, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. He was also a husband to his beloved wife Beth; his best friend and forever soul mate.

Born in Boston MA, January 23, 1962, Anthony was one of four children of Antoinette Porro and the late Salvatore Christiano. He was a proud alumnus of Boston Latin School where he made many lifelong friends. He was also a graduate of Bentley University School of Business.

He worked more than 20 years in account management especially remembering his years at Nortel network. Anthony developed many long-lasting relationships through his various work endeavors and had a special talent for understanding people. At the age of 62, Anthony happily retired.

If you knew Anthony, you knew how big his heart was. He loved his family, his pets and all animals & birds. As a new Englander, he was passionate about all sports. The New England Patriots were his team, and he was fortunate to have attended multiple super bowls.  Cooking delicious meals with his family and friends also gave him great joy. Anthony loved nature and became a master at landscaping & hardscaping his yard with his wife Beth. He was kind, funny and generous with incredible emotional intuition and a talent for financial investing. Lastly, he was very proud to be both Southern Italian and from West Roxbury, MA.

Anthony and Beth were especially fortunate to honeymoon for 4-weeks last fall in Paris and Italy. Many special moments were created on that trip as well as their frequent vacations to Longboat Key, Florida. Recently, Anthony’s fresh hobby was remodeling and selling Aurora cars. Repairing and repurposing many things around the home was also one of his accomplished skills. Being a cancer survivor, he relished every moment of his life. Everything he did was with passion and as he would say “I have 2 speeds, on and off”.

The treasured memories we have shared will continue to warm the hearts of those he left behind including his loving mother, Antoinette Porro Christiano of West Roxbury; his devoted wife, Beth Christiano (Koopman) of Newburyport; his brother, Vincent and wife Suzanne Christiano of Andover MA, Sister Anne and husband Ross Cerami of Boxford MA,  brother Joseph and wife Susan Christiano of The Villages, Florida and many other relatives and cousins especially Rene and Carl Cotter and her father Albert.

The nieces and nephews; Dr. Anthony Christiano and his wife Dr. Beth Christiano of New York, Neice Gina and her husband Seth Seidler of New York, Vincent Christiano of Pennsylvania. Ross Cerami and his wife Jackie of Pelham,NH, Victor and his wife Alexandria Cerami of Dover, NH. Beth’s Children; Greta and her husband Michael Buzzell and their children Caroline and Bryce Buzzell of Merrimac MA., Peter Koopman of Arizona, Jared Koopman of Quincy Ma.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday July 9, 2026 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. A Time of Remembrance will be held in the Funeral Home at 7:30 following the calling hours. A private burial will take place at Oakhill Cemetery at a later date.
