Amy Rasimas Obituary

Amy Rasimas, 58, passed away on Saturday, March 22, at Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Amy was born on August 1, 1966, in Detroit, Michigan to Carl and Janet Rasimas.

Amy attended Colby College and received her MBA from Simmons Business School.

Amy married Lauren Eramo in May of 2004, as soon as they were legally allowed to, although they had been married in their minds since August of 1993.

Amy had recently retired from Axcelis Technologies where she worked as their treasurer for many years.

Amy was a foodie.  She loved cooking new things and sharing food with friends. She recently traveled to Lanzhou, China to learn how to pull noodles and had been perfecting this craft here at home.  Amy loved giving gifts. It was remarkable how she could remember small details about people and then turn that into perfect gifts.  Amy loved Jazz and had recently become an annual visitor to the Newport Jazz festival.  Amy loved the Grateful Dead, 70s disco and AC/DC.  She did not share her wife’s love of 70s soft rock. Amy had a great sense of style and design. Amy had begun to play Pickleball and loved working part time at the front desk of New England Pickleball Club in Middleton.

Amy was predeceased by her parents and her brother Jeff. She is survived by her wife, Lauren Eramo, and their children Alex and Lucy, and schnauzer Henry.  She was an incredible aunt to Sam, Tori, Julia, Peter and Andrew.  Amy also leaves her oldest and dearest friend, Christine Doherty and her wife Lisa Mead. Amy touched so many lives and will leave many cherished memories that almost all involve food.

The family will hold an Open House to celebrate Amy’s life on April 5, 2025, at the Mission Oak‘s Steeple Hall from 2:00 to 5:00 pm. All are welcome to stop in and share memories and community.

Those wishing to make an expression of sympathy; Amy believed in and supported Our Neighbor’s Table in Amesbury.
