Stanley A. Jancewicz, 89, died Saturday May 26, 2018 at his home in Newburyport. He was born on May 13, 1929 in Newburyport to the late Joseph and Clemantina (Kiman) Jancewicz. He was raised and educated in Newburyport graduating from Newburyport High School.
He was employed at Western Electric now Lucent Technologies as a Layout Operator for over 23 years before his retirement. Stanley was a Past President of the St. Kazmeir Society, as well as a Past Grand Knight of the Newburyport Council #231 Knights of Columbus, a member of the Newburyport Golden Agers, and the Polish American Citizens Club and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He was also a baseball coach for the Newburyport Kiwanis Little League for many years and traveled all over the country fishing.
Stanley is survived by his loving wife of 67 years Jennie (Seliga) Jancewicz of Newburyport; sons, Joseph G Jancewicz and his wife Sally of Kensington, NH, and Robert S. Jancewicz and his wife Donna of Hancock, ME; grandchildren, Jennifer Ratti, Robert S. Jancewicz, Jr., Alyson Jancewicz, and Leah Jancewicz; great grandchildren, Alyssa Ratti and Jaxson Ratti. He was pre deceased by his siblings, Alyce H. Peltonovich, Joseph J. Jancewicz, and Edward J. Jancewicz.
Family and friends may call on Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass will follow the calling hours at 11:30 AM at Immaculate Conception Church, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery both in Newburyport.
