Robert Joseph Wolcik Sr. of Salisbury peacefully passed away at the age of 82 on Thursday, August 8, 2019. Born March 12, 1937 in Salina, New York, he was the son of the late Raymond and Helen (Gulgert) Wolcik. He attended Liverpool High School and was a three-sport letterman. After High School, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served from 1955-1959 as a Jet Mechanic. He was stationed in Okinawa, Japan and Pease Air Force base, in Portsmouth, NH. During his time at Pease he met his wife, Sharon (Cote) Wolcik.
After the Air Force, he worked construction in upstate NY before moving to Salisbury in 1960. He then took a job spray painting industrial equipment at Amesbury Specialty where he spent 20 years before moving on to Oakland Industries for an additional 21 years before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Sharon; His son, Robert Wolcik Jr.; his grandchildren, Douglas R. Wolcik; Robert J. Wolcik III and his wife Davina; Cote J. Wolcik; and Paige N. Wolcik; and his great-granddaughter, Gracie E. Wolcik.
Private arrangements will be held through Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home.
