Richard Boudreau Obituary

Richard Boudreau, age 78, of Byfield passed away on Tuesday, July 2,2019 after a lengthy illness, at the Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport with family by his side.

Born in Everett,MA on April 17, 1941, he was the son of the late William J. and Ruth (Dumas) Boudreau.  Raised in Saugus, MA, he graduated from Saugus High School in 1960.  In 1964, he married Pauline (Everitt) Boudreau and celebrated 55 years of marriage this past June.

Richard served 4 years in the U.S. Navy and was stationed aboard the U.S.S. Wasp aircraft carrier during the Cuban missile crisis.  He was employed by General Electric Co. in Lynn,MA until his retirement in 2004.  Richard had a great sense of humor and was a man of many talents. He and his wife built their own house and as an accomplished woodworker built acoustic guitars in his workshop.  He enjoyed playing bluegrass music with friends, camping, fishing, gardening, oil painting, cooking gourmet meals for family gatherings and watching the New England Patriots.

Richard is survived by his wife Pauline, daughter Karyn and granddaughters Alana and Izabella.  He is also survived by his sister-in-law Florence Boudreau of Everett, MA, sister-in-law Cynthia Beem and husband Bob of Center Harbor, N.H. and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: A graveside memorial tribute will be held at a later date at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody, MA. The Twomey, Leblanc & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA. is assisting Mr. Boudreau's family with his funeral arrangements.
