Patrick G. Griffin

Patrick G. Griffin, 61, a resident of Salisbury, died Monday, February 19, 2018, at Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport. He was born on September 5, 1956, to the late Gerald Griffin and surviving Frances (Bradley) Schmidlin. He was raised and educated in Lawrence, graduating from Central Catholic High School class of 1974. He continued his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst where he graduated with an Associate's Degree. Patrick was employed as a Foreman for several local construction companies over the years. He also worked for Boston Towing and Transportation in their Tug Boat division. Early on he was a Lifeguard on Salisbury Beach, an occupation he held very dear as swimming was one of his greatest passions. In his spare time Patrick enjoyed many outdoor activities such as kayaking, biking, and hiking, as well as working out at the gym, walking his granddog Willow and cruising in his Jeep while listening to his favorite music artists.

Patrick is survived by his wife Rhonda (Merrill) Griffin of Salisbury; children, Ashley Griffin of Newburyport, Dylan Griffin of Framingham, and Brittany Griffin of Salisbury; sisters, Karen McKitrick of Raymond, NH and Deborah McMillian of Concord, NH as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be sorely missed and forever loved by all.

Family and friends are invited to Patrick’s Funeral Service at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 24, 2018, at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home: 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
