Maria (Economos) Creeden

Maria (Economos) Creeden of Newburyport, MA passed away peacefully on June 2, 2019, just five days before her 101st birthday. Maria was the daughter of Greek immigrants and was born on June 7, 1918.

She will be missed by her daughter Georgia Creeden of Macau, and nieces and nephews from Maryland, New England and California, and a grandson in South Carolina. Maria was preceded in death by her daughter Frances Creeden of Hampton, NH, her son James Creeden of Newburyport, MA, brother Dr. George Economos, and sisters Olga Cruz, Sophie Soffron, and Katina Dedes.

A graveside service will be held at the Highland Cemetery, Section AA, in Newburyport on Thursday, June 13, 2019 at 11 a.m. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Creeden’s family with her funeral arrangements.
