Lorraine M. (Wilson) Batcheller

Lorraine M. Batcheller, 84, died Saturday evening September 28, 2019 at Brigham Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newburyport. She was born in Newburyport on January 29, 1935 to the late Elmer and Bertha (LaValley) Wilson. Raised and educated in Newburyport, Lorraine was a graduate of Immaculate Conception Grammar and High School. Following her graduation from High School Lorraine was employed for a short time as an assembler at CBS Hytron in Newburyport.

In 1955 she married the late Elmer Batcheller, and became a homemaker, dedicated to raising their family. Lorraine enjoyed spending time tending to her homes landscaping and took great pride in her flower gardens. She also enjoyed music, playing the piano and organ and always looked forward to visits from her grandchildren. 

Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Paula J. Daniels and her husband Thomas of Mendon, Terri A. Murphy and her husband Gary of Hampton, and Lynne D. Pelletier and her husband Kory of Salisbury; grandchildren, Lindsey, Chelsea, and Carly Daniels, Gary Murphy, Jr., Ashley Rose Murphy, and Brooke Pelletier; great grandchildren, Kendall J. Murphy and Carter Jean Daniels-Ross; siblings, Shirley Bowes and her husband John, Joyce Kelleher and her husband Edward, and Joan Cargill; as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Lorraine was pre deceased by her brothers, Elmer, Charlie, Harold, Norman, Morris, and Arthur Wilson.

Family and friends may call on Saturday October 5, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Her Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 at Immaculate Conception Church in Newburyport. Burial will be private at a later date.
