Lidwine Beevers, 88, died Sunday December 2, 2018 at the High Point Hospice House in Haverhill, after a brief illness. She was born on October 9, 1930 in Newburyport to the late Charles H. and Mary L. (Kane) Beevers. She was raised at Salisbury Beach and educated in Newburyport graduating from Newburyport High School.
Following her graduation Lidwine was employed by several companies including Hytron and Owens Illinois before retiring from AT&T where she was an assembler for over 20 years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, was an avid reader, and a devoted fan of all the New England sports teams especially the Patriots. Above all she loved her nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews all of whom never missed a birthday or holiday card from Aunt Lindy.
Lidwine is survived by her sister in law, Patricia Beevers of Salisbury; brother in law, Robert Moreau of Salisbury; several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by her siblings, Frank Allen Beevers, Frances Arlene McDevitte, Alice Vitale, and Elizabeth Moreau.
Family and friends are invited to attend Miss Beevers Funeral Service at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday December 12, 2018 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
