Kathy Shields

Kathy Shields, 51, passed away peacefully on Sunday November 5, 2017 at her residence in Salisbury. She was born in Athens, Greece on December 24, 1965 to Spyro Koronis and the late Dionysia (Daniel) Tavitian. She lived in Greece until her 7th birthday when her family immigrated to the United State. She was raised in Lynn, MA and attended Lynn Schools. Following school Kathy settled and raised her family in the Lynn area, 

She was employed by Analog Devices for many years and while working there in 1999 she met her soon to be husband Dale Shields and they were married in 2004. The couple then moved to Salisbury where Kathy was a stay-at-home mom. She couldn’t be happier with this role as she had an open door policy in her home for all her family and friends. She was a very passionate and caring person and loved spending time cooking and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also was an animal lover, always having at least 3 pets at all times.

In addition to her husband and father, Kathy is survived by her children, Amanda Dehetre and her husband Chris of ME, Deanna Connick and her husband Steve of NH, Angela Clem of MA, Kelsey DeYoung of MA, Zachary Shields of NH, and Nicholas Shields of RI, grandchildren, Xavier, Sandra, Matthew, Cale, Owen, Taylor, Ryder, Daelin and Evelyn on the way, sister, Rena Hertzberg and her husband Rich of MA, niece and nephews, Chris, Brian, Kenny, and Amy, as well as her step father David Tavitian.

Family and friends may call on Friday November 10, 2017 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Kathy’s funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 1:30 pm following the calling hours. Burial will be private at a later date. 

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s name to the MSPCA 400 Broadway Methuen, MA 01844, or to the charity of ones choice.
