Kathleen "Kathy" Haley

Kathleen M. Haley, 58, passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Anna Jaques Hospital in Newburyport, after battling cancer. She was born on November 22, 1959 in Brunswick, Maine to Richard and Joan (Edgecomb) Haley. Kathy was raised in Saugus, MA where she graduated from Northeast Metropolitan Regional Vocational School in 1978. This is where her career as a hairdresser began. Kathy was employed at several local hair salons. On many occasions she would visit local nursing homes, with her dog Sarah, to do provide hair services. Kathy lived in Boxford where she raised her two kids. Kathy loved her children dearly.

Kathy loved to travel. Maine and Arizona held a special place in her heart. She also loved gardening, music, reading and the outdoors. Kathy was a very compassionate woman who devoted much of her time to her congregation. 

In addition to her parents, Kathy is survived by her sons, Travis Tenney and his wife Jennifer of Salisbury, and Brendan Tenney of Boxford; sisters, Becky Marcos and her partner Wayne Bartlett of Brunswick, ME, and Lisa Haley and her husband Calvin Bartlett of Brunswick, ME; along with many nieces and nephews,

Family and friends may call on Thursday January 4, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Her Funeral Service will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday January 5, 2017 at Byfield Parish Church in Georgetown, MA. Burial will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Kathy’s name to the Dana Farber Breast Cancer Institute.
