Joyce Ann Vigeant of Plaistow, NH passed away June 23, 2018 of complications from Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on December 1,1943 to parents Robert Lee Liles and Charlsie Jones. Even though Joyce called New England home for over 50 years, she never lost her trademark southern drawl.
Joyce lived a blessed life, enjoying family, socializing with friends, boating, and time on golf courses and tennis courts where she was an exceptional athlete. She was known for her sense of humor and love of laughter but also her sweet, gentle spirit. Her grandchildren will never forget their trips with “Mimi” to Haley’s Ice Cream. Her favorite flavor was Chocolate Chip.
She left this earth peacefully thanks to Hospice care and the selfless work of many healthcare professionals, to whom the family are ever grateful.
Joyce was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Jeffrey Vigeant and leaves two daughters and their spouses, Tonya and Chad Leitz and Stacy and Joshua Kneeland, plus four grandchildren, Olivia, Sadie, Roman and Liam. She also leaves behind her partner, Ross Parker, who cared for her during the illness with extreme dedication.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday August 7, 2018 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Merrimack Valley Hospice and Alzheimer’s Disease Research.
