John Dennis Borrelli

John Dennis Borrelli, 92, died December 23, 2018, with his loving step-daughter by his side. John passed away at the Merrimack Valley Health Center in Amesbury, MA, after a long battle with dementia. John was born February 5, 1926 in Lawrence, MA. John survived his late wife Jeannette Borrelli, who passed away in January of 2015. John was a World War II Navy Veteran on the LeRay Wilson, joining at the age of 17 to fight for his country. Following the War, John took care of his 5 children and his mother, Rose Borrelli, while going to Merrimack College nights for 5 years, to better himself at his job doing payroll for the Lawrence Water Department. He will be sorely missed by his step-daughter and granddaughter, Joyce Ann and Alexandra Rose Dumais of Salisbury, and his 5 biological children, including Linda Pecci, John D. Borrelli Jr., Christine, Joanne, and Donna, all out of state. John worked for the City of Lawrence Water Department for over 20 years. He enjoyed ballroom dancing and cruising with his wife Janet of 38 years and taking his granddaughter out for ice cream after picking her up from school every day. Both John and Janet lived at the Sullivan Building in Newburyport for 10 years. John would wake up every morning and walk down the street to get his coffee and Lawrence Eagle-Tribune.

All are welcome to calling hours, Sunday, January 27 from 10-12, followed by a 12 pm service at the Twomey, LeBlanc, Conte Funeral Home at 193 High Street in Newburyport, MA. Parking is available behind the funeral home. John will be buried at the Veterans Cemetery in Newburyport at a later date.
