Joan L. (Cardillo) Flynn

Joan L. Flynn, 64, died Sunday afternoon December 1, 2019 at Brigham and Womens Hospital in Boston. She was born in Winchester, MA to the late Charles and Mary (Modica) Cardillo on May 9, 1955. She was raised and educated in Wakefield and was a graduate of Wakefield High School. Following high school, she attended Northern Essex Community College where she graduated as a Dental Assistant. She continued her education at University of Massachusetts-Lowell graduating with a bachelors of Physical Therapy. She was the owner/operator of Holistic Physical Therapy and Wellness in Newburyport until her passing.

Joan was a caring and loving individual who helped so many people in the Newburyport community over the past 30 years.  She loved spending time with her family, especially her two grandsons.  In addition, she enjoyed time with friends and traveling down to Pawleys Island in South Carolina.

Joan is survived by her husband Kevin Flynn of Newburyport; son, Hunter Flynn and his wife Jen of Newburyport; grandsons, Oliver and Henry; siblings, Charles Cardillo, Jr. and his wife Rachel of CO, and Janis Maines of NY; nieces and nephews, Kimberly Poirier, Abigail and Sophia Maines, Matthew and Kristen Cardillo; as well as sister in law, Marilyn Poirier of SC.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday December 11, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. Services and burial will be private at a later date.
