Jean Anna (Cormier) Sanford

Jean Anna Sanford, 83 died at her residence in Amesbury on Monday morning October 29, 2018. She was born on February 24, 1935 to the late Albert and Andrea (Turmene) Cormier, in Lynn, MA where she was raised and attended school. At a very young age Jean left school to assist her mother with raising her 6 siblings. She met and fell in love with the late Richard Sanford and the couple were married in 1962 and she became a stay at home mom for her own children as well as caretaker of her daughter. Jean and Richard enjoyed 52 years of marriage until his death in 2014.

In her spare time Jean enjoyed watching soap operas, walking on the beach and spending time with her family.

Jean in survived by her children, Bonnie Sanford of Amesbury, and Rick Sanford and his wife Lisa of Amesbury; grandchildren, Jordan Marie Muldoon and Aaron Sanford; brothers, Don Cormier of Melrose, Bob Cormier of Florida, and Louis Cormier of Lynn as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband Jean was predeceased by her siblings, Edgar, Raymond, and Richard Cormier and Irene Jeromin.

Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Thursday November 1, 2018 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Services and burial will be private at a later date.
