Janice A. (Joubert) Letourneau

Janice A. Letourneau, 81, died Tuesday morning December 12, 2017 at her home in Newburyport. She was born on December 14, 1935 in Amesbury, MA to the late Arthur and Mildred (Frost) Joubert. She was raised in Amesbury and was a graduate of Newburyport High School Class of 1953. She then graduated from Fitchburg State College and Burbank School of Nursing. 

She married the late Francis Xavier Letourneau in 1957 and became a homemaker raising their family in Newburyport. 

She enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, and watching her stories, especially the Young and the Restless. She also enjoyed cooking for her family and music with a fondness for Elvis. 

Janice is survived by her sons, Jeffrey Letourneau and Michael Letourneau and his wife Susan, and grandchildren Michelle, Jennifer, and Erik. In addition to her parents and husband, Janice was predeceased by her daughters Debbie and Diane Letourneau as well as her brother Arthur Joubert, Jr. 

Family and friends are invited to Janice’s funeral service at 11:30 AM on Friday December 15, 2017 at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950, with burial to follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newburyport. Calling hours will be from 9:00 to 11:00 in the funeral home prior to her service. Parking is available behind the Funeral Home.
