Jane A. (Ricker) King

Jane A. King, 84, passed away at her residence in Newburyport on November 16, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Concord, MA on September 3 1933 to the late Ralph and Edith (Boulden) Ricker. Jane was raised and educated in Newburyport and was a graduate of Newburyport High School. She then married the late Bertley L. King and started their family. Jane was a stay at home mom until her children were grown. She then attended college and after receiving her Associates Degree, was employed as an Inspector the Henchel Corporation in Newburyport until her retirement in 1994.

She was an avid reader and enjoyed completing jigsaw puzzles, as well as traveling with her late husband Bert on cruises and to Hawaii. Jane was a lover of animals and over the years she had adopted many, many pets into her family.

Jane is survived by her children, Linda Rucker and her husband Lonnie of Middleburg, FL, Wayne King and his wife Sandra of Amesbury, Dana King and his wife Lynda of Newburyport, and Brenda Hennon and her husband David of West Monroe, LA, 8 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, siblings, Marie Byrne of AZ, and Ralph Ricker of FL, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son Bryan King.

Family and friends may call on Sunday November 19, 2017 from 1:00 to 4:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Monday November 20, 2017 in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
