James Lysik Obituary

James David Lysik 64, of Salisbury, MA passed away on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at Portsmouth Regional Hospital from natural causes. Jim was born on July 20, 1954 in Newburyport Massachusetts; the son of Elizabeth M. Hamilton and John S. Lysik of Newburyport MA. He married Nancy Elizabeth Nolan on June 2, 1973.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who loved nothing more than spending time with his family. He showed amazing strength and spirit and was always a positive influence on all around him. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Jim worked for Mersen USA (formerly Chase-Shawmut/Ferraz-Shawmut) for 42 years. Happily retired, he spent the last 3 years babysitting his granddaughter Hayley who was his angel.

He is survived by his son James D. Lysik Jr. and his wife Melissa and their daughter Hayley of Haverhill MA; his son Shawn R. Lysik and his partner Justin Tyler of Amesbury MA; his sisters Elizabeth Lysik and Margaret Lysik of Newburyport Ma; and his brother Richard Lysik of Amesbury MA.

Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 7:00 pm on April 5, 2019 at Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High Street in Newburyport MA. His Funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Church 42 Green Street in Newburyport MA on April 6, 2019 at 10:30 am. Burial will follow at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Newburyport MA.
