James E. Knowles III

James E Knowles III, age 80, died peacefully at home with his loving wife, Ann (Trainor) Knowles.  They shared 58 beautiful years of marriage together.  He is survived by his children, Kathleen Knowles of East Boston;James Knowles IV and his wife Denise of Wakefield; Carolyn Murphy and her husband Joseph of Wilmington; Tracy Giarla and her husband Marc of Salem; Awen Proia and her husband Joseph of Concord, NH.

Also survived by 12 loving Grandchildren, 9 loving Great Grandchildren, and many Nieces and Nephews.

Jim grew up in East Boston, and was a long time member of the Jeffries Point Yacht Club and was a past Commodore, then moving to Salisbury MA in his later years.  He was a Foreman at General Electric in Lynn where he worked for 30 years until his retirement.

He served his country as a United States Navy Veteran.  

Family and friends may a call on Sunday December 17, 2017 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the funeral home. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Monday December 18, 2017 at Star of the Sea Church in Salisbury, followed by burial at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park in Peabody.
