James Peter Doonan, Jr.

James Peter Doonan Jr. 57, of Lakeland Florida passed away on March 26th, 2018.

Jay didn’t want a sorrowful service; Have a Coors Light and toast to his memory.

Jay was born in Oakland California on April 16th, 1960. He graduated from Triton High School and Assumption College.  He played tennis in high school and football in college.  He spent the bulk of his working career at the IRS where he was employed for over 20 years.

Jay leaves two children, James Peter (Jayson) Doonan III and his wife Shannon of Rochester NH and Dr. Bently Doonan and his wife Ryan of Gainesville Florida; Jay also leaves one grandson, Mack Williams Doonan also of Gainesville Florida.  In addition to his children and grandchildren Jay leaves behind brother Michael Doonan and his wife Patricia of Ipswich MA, brother Thomas Doonan and his wife Pamela of West Boylston MA, and sister Erin Doonan Candiano and her husband Steven of Seabrook NH.  He is also survived by his parents Pete and Dolores Doonan of Salisbury MA.  Jay was a ‘silly’ beloved Uncle of Curtis, Crystal, Corey, Taylor, Samantha, Bailey and Chloe who will surely all miss him greatly.

The family of Jay Doonan wishes to thank the Good Shepherd Hospice for their help throughout this time.  Jay felt comfortable with your people and grateful for your help.
