Everett Wayne Pine, 77, also known as “Wayne-o” , “Piney”, and “Bumpa”. Long time resident of Newburyport, MA- most recent of Salisbury, MA passed away on Saturday August 26, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Newburyport on December 20, 1939 to the late Everett M. and Mary (King) Pine. Wayne attended Newburyport schools and graduated from the Immaculate Conception in 1958. He was employed for 50 years by Chase/ Ferraz Shawmut where he retired as an Operations Manager in 2009. Wayne most loved spending time with his family, adored his grandchildren, loved to cook, and immersed himself in history. He was an avid New England sports fan and very proud of his Irish heritage. Wayne had a deep love for animals as he had pets all his life.
Wayne will be missed by many friends, his family and his cat Cappy.
Wayne is survived by his children, Lisa Lariviere, and her husband Peter of Salisbury, Kevin Pine of Carlsbad, CA, Mary Margaret Griffin and her husband John of Hampton, NH, and Shane Pine of Hampton, NH, grandchildren, Rachel, Shawn, Alyssa, John, Patrick, and Makayla, and one great grandchild expected in December. He also leaves behind his sister in law Anne (Houlihan) Bartlett of Intervale, NH and his dear friend Anne Marie Currier of SC. He was predeceased by his loving wife of 21 years Mary Katherine (Houlihan) Pine as well as his step son Eddie Stillings and his former wives, Carol (Harvey) Scholtz and Susan Parsons - the mothers of his children.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday August 31, 2017 at the Twomey, LeBLanc & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9:00 AM on Friday September 1, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery, both in Newburyport.
