Dan P. Clay was 47. He was originally from Manchester England, and lived with his family in Newburyport for 28 years. He is a man who was loved and respected by family, friends, and business associates.
He was an avid golfer, boater, had a passion for soccer and attending Manchester United games, he loved to travel the world with his family. Dan was an accomplished athlete and served as the Captain of his high school soccer and lacrosse teams at Hebron Academy in Maine. Dan will be sadly missed by his family and friends.
Dan is survived by his wife Lorna (Bates) of 11 years, his twin boys Finn and Harry 10 years of age and stepdaughter Jordan Stamulis 22 years of age (all from Newburyport, Massachusetts USA). His parents Carolyn and Peter Clay from Newburyport and Manchester, England. His sister Rachel Mamelok of Manchester England. His sister Sophie Clay of Barcelona Spain. Sister in laws; Maureen and Erin from Galway Ireland, and Natalie of California, and brother in law Ryan Casey of Galway Ireland. His nieces Chloe and Ella. Nephews Max, Luca and Seb. Aunt Alison and Uncles Paul and Nick of England and many cousins, as well as mother and father in law, Kathleen and Peter Casey of Galway Ireland. Numerous friends from Newburyport and around the world. Dan was predeceased by his Aunt Vivienne.
Family and friends are invited to Dan’s funeral service at 11:00 AM on Saturday December 8, 2018 at the First Religious Society Unitarian Universalist Church at 26 Pleasant St. in Newburyport. Burial will private at a later date. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport is assisting Mr. Clay’s family with his funeral arrangements.
