Dan Marchibroda Obituary

Daniel Stephen Marchibroda of Newburyport, MA passed away peacefully at home the morning of Saturday, September 9 2017.

Dan was born August 30, 1939 in Oil City, PA to the late Stephen and Helen Marchibroda.  Before retiring, Dan spent over 30 years working for Xerox Corporation as a Finance Executive.  He graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Oil City, PA in 1957 and was a proud alum of Penn State University where he graduated from in 1963. Dan was an avid Penn State football fan and could be heard hollering at the television most Saturday afternoons every fall.  In addition to the Nittany Lions, Dan loved his family, had a passion for golf, and enjoyed a good glass of gin.  But, what he loved the most was spending time with his seven grandsons, all of whom also completely adored their "Ta".

Before moving to Newburyport, MA, Dan lived in Madison, CT.  He was a member of the Madison Country Club where he spent many enjoyable summers lamenting his mediocre golf skills with his golf buddies.

Dan is lovingly remembered by his wife of 53 years, Debbie Morrison Marchibroda;  his son, Dan Marchibroda of Portsmouth, NH and his two boys, Stephen and Danny; his daughter Amy Marchibroda Brown of Newburyport, MA, her husband Matt Brown, and their boys Griffin, Reilly, Cameron, Brody and Cooper,  his sister, Mary Beth Mauer of Dunedin, FL and her husband Chris Mauer, and his sister Diana Marchibroda of Charlottesville, VA.  He is also survived by his nephews Chris Mauer, Dominic Manilla, Danny Manilla, and Joey Manilla and his niece Anna Manilla Parker and their families.

There will be a private celebration of his life for the immediate family and close friends.
