Charles Mazza Obituary

Charles A. (Buzzy) Mazza Jr, 83, recently of Bridgton, ME and formally of Salem, MA followed his wife and love of his life, Deanna, to rest just 19 days after her passing. He died peacefully with family by his side on Friday, October, 6 in Newmarket, NH after a battle with cancer. He was born on March. 11, 1934, in  Lynn, Mass., to the late Charles A. and Mary (Eamma) Mazza.

Raised and educated in Lynn, Buzzy met Deanna at Lynn English High School. After marrying in 1956, they raised their family and resided in Salem for 45 years. He operated Mazza Signs for many years alongside his wife.

He cherished being surrounded by his family and close friends, enjoying boating and outdoor activities on the lake in Bridgton. He loved taking his children and grandchildren water skiing and tubing and then spending the winters months in Florida. He was always eager for a game of pool or ping-pong.

He will be dearly missed by his son, David and wife Kris of New Vineyard, ME and their children, Pearl and Eli and great-grandson Oliver, daughter Cindy and husband Scott Brennan of West Newbury, Mass., and their sons Drew, Sam and Luke; daughter Linda and husband John Maffeo of Wake Forest, N.C., and their daughters, Jessica and husband Nate White, Jamie, and Taylor; daughter, Lisa and husband, John Kennedy of N. Berwick, Maine and their sons Bruce and Devyn. He is also survived by his brother-in-law Wesley Ladd and his wife, Kathy of Lynnfield, MA and their families.

The family would like to again sincerely thank the staff at The Pines in Newmarket, N.H. and Rockingham VNA and Hospice for either compassion, care, and support.
