Brian J. Lenihan

Brian J. Lenihan, 41, died Friday June 28, 2019 at Massachusetts General Hospital after a lifelong battle with Congenital Heart Disease. He was born in Lowell, MA on January 5, 1978 to Maureen (McCarron) and the late Brian T. Lenihan. Brian was raised in Newburyport and was a graduate of Newburyport High School Class of 1996. 

Brian was employed by the MA Department of Conservation and Recreation, starting at the Salisbury Beach Reservation and most recently working as a Supervisor in Metro Boston.

He loved spending time with family and friends, especially skiing and golfing with his girls and playing pick-up hockey with friends.  He also enjoyed traveling to Disney World, Hilton Head, and North Conway being his favorite destinations.

In addition to his mother, Brian is survived by his wife Allison (Rice) Lenihan and their daughters, Emily and Shannon of Haverhill; siblings, James Lenihan and his wife Michelle of Andover and Caitlin Rush and her husband Joseph of PA; loving uncle to Catherine, Kiera, Patrick, Abbey Lenihan, and Grace Rush.

Family and friends may call on Monday July 1, 2019 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. THERE IS NO LONGER ANY PARKING AVAILABLE BEHIND THE FUNERAL HOME PER ORDER OF THE CITY OF NEWBURYPORT. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM on Tuesday July 2, 2019 at Immaculate Conception Church. Friends attending Mass are asked to meet directly at Church.
