William "Bill" P. Kenney, Sr.

William Kenney was born at Lawrence General Hospital on August 24, 1926. He was raised in Lawrence graduating from Lawrence High School in 1944. He was also the second graduating class of Merrimac College in 1952.

Bill worked for Lucent for 34 years, until his retirement.

William was in the US Navy Reserve from July 31, 1944 until his honorable discharge on May 31, 1946 where he served as a Naval Seabee.

Bill was a longtime resident of Plum Island living there for 20 years.

Bill was married to the love of his life Margaret (Moody) Kenney (deceased December 10, 2012) they were married in 1952 for 60 years. 

 is survived by his son William "Lee" Kenney, Jr., granddaughter Tawnya Ouellette, her Husband Donald Ouellette along with their daughters, his only Great Grand children Skylar Mary Ouellette and Jayden Marilyn Ouellette, as well as several nieces and nephews.

William was predeceased by his daughter Mary Louise (Kenney) Clancy as well as his siblings; Ellen Kenney, Joseph Kenney, John Kenney & Francis Kenney.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday August 16, 2017 from 9:30 to 11:30 AM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950, followed by his Funeral Mass at Immaculate Conception Church at 12:00 PM, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery.
