"MOM TO SO MANY."
Pasqualina “Lina” DeLuca, 75, died peacefully Tuesday morning October 10, 2017 at her home in Salisbury, surrounded by her family. Lina was born on May 18, 1942 to the late Anthony and Catherine (Tammaro) Romano in Grottaminarda, Italy, where she was raised and educated. She met Ralph DeLuca and the couple were married on August 14, 1968. Following their marriage Lina immigrated to the United States and the couple settled in Medford to raise their family. In 1976 Lina and Ralph moved to Salisbury where they currently reside. Lina was a housewife her entire life as she loved nothing more than taking care of her family. Even though she only had four children, she was a mother to all in the neighborhood. There was never a night without a table full of more than just the family. She enjoyed cooking for all of the holidays and family gatherings, the bigger the better. She also enjoyed crocheting, every grandchild received a blanket made by “Nonnie”. A very religious woman Lina was a faithful parishioner of Star of the Sea Parish in Salisbury.
Lina is survived by her loving husband Ralph DeLuca of Salisbury, children, Rose Drelick, Cathy Dolloff, Chris DeLuca and his wife Rose, and Daniel DeLuca, all of Salisbury, grandchildren, Renee and Justin Dolloff, Gino, Angelina, and Christopher DeLuca and Nicholas Nguyen, her sister Pina Romano and her husband Pasqualle of Italy, as well as nieces and nephews Marilyn Ford, Jerry DeSimone, Richard Sciaudone, and Rochelle Sciaudone-Destefano.
