Margaret Lorraine "Lorri" Foley Hager

Margaret Lorraine (Lorri) Foley Hager age 73, passed unexpectedly due to heart failure on April 28, 2017 in Newburyport, MA.

Margaret Lorraine (Lorri) was born on October 27, 1943 in Galesburg, IL, to parents John Francis Foley and Margaret Lorraine Foley. She had five older brothers John Foley, Mike Foley, Tim Foley, Tony Foley, and Dan Foley along with a younger sister Patricia Foley Mondahl. She graduated from Mount Mary University and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work at Loyola University in Chicago. She relocated to Boston, MA and then made Newburyport, MA her home where she held private practice as a Licensed Social Worker for over 35 years.

Margaret Lorraine (Lorri) is survived by her loving children and their families. Her son Maxwell Joseph Hager, his wife Kathy Lambalot Hager, and her beloved grandson Mason Joseph Hager of Salem, NH. Her son Stephen John Hager of Haverhill, MA. Her daughter Alexis Ann Hager and her fiancé James Blanchette of Haverhill MA. She also leaves behind countless cherished family members and friends including her sister Pat and her nieces Lori, Jodi, Amy and their families. She was pre-deceased by her longtime friend Father John Leonard and her bothers John and Mike.

Margaret Lorraine (Lorri) was a loving mother who lived for her children and spreading goodwill. She was a social but private woman who was deeply involved in her profession and faith for the majority of her life. She loved and cherished any event, adventure, or just the simple time spent with her family and friends. They will always remember her as a generous, joyful, and loving person.

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Margaret Lorraine on Monday May 8, 2017, at the Immaculate Conception Parish of Newburyport. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lorri's life. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Hager’s family with her funeral arrangements.
