Kevin Barry Horgan

Kevin Barry Horgan, 53, died Thursday morning January 18, 2018 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington after a brief illness. He was born in Haverhill, MA on August 18, 1964 to Margaret (Burke) Horgan and the late Robert E Horgan. He was raised and educated in Newburyport and was proud graduate of Newburyport High School, Class of 1982. 

Following his graduation Kevin moved to the west coast and settled in San Francisco, where he was employed as a Sales Manager in the electrical supply industry. Kevin recently moved back home to Newburyport in September of 2017 to be with his family. 

Above all he loved spending time with family and friends. He also loved his Irish heritage, all the New England sport teams and the Grateful Dead.

Kevin is survived by his mother Margaret (Burke) Horgan of Newburyport; siblings, Maureen Hardin of Newburyport, Michael Horgan of San Francisco, Jean Doyle and her husband Michael of Newburyport, Margaret Quinn and her husband Tucker  of Haverhill, Paul Horgan and his wife Donna of Marblehead, Trish O’Rourke and her husband John of Baltic, CT, and John Horgan and his wife Michele  of Old Lyme, CT; many loving nieces and nephews and his God Daughter Julia Rose O’Rourke. As well as his West Coast “Family” who lovingly referred to him as “brother”. In addition to his father, Kevin was predeceased by his sister Mary J. Horgan.

Family and friends may call on Monday January 22, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Tuesday January 23, 2018 at Star of the Sea Church on Beach Rd. in Salisbury. Burial will be private at a later date.
