John P. Seward, 64, a resident of Byfield, died Tuesday December 26, 2017 at Lahey Clinic in Burlington. He was born on November 5, 1953 in Lynn, MA to the late Patrick and June (Baldwin) Seward. John was raised and educated in Lynn and was a graduate of Lynn Vocational and Technical Institute. Following his graduation John worked as a truck mechanic at various local shops before his employment as a machine mechanic at Sylvania, where he met his future wife Brenda Morley. John finished his working career at GE in Lynn as an electrician, retiring in 2014 after 29 years.
In his spare time John loved riding his Harley Davidson and spending time in his garage tinkering.
John is survived by his loving wife and “Riding Partner” of 36 years, Brenda (Morley) Seward of Byfield; daughter, Lori Dawidowicz and her husband Tony of Atkinson; grandchildren, Connor, Melanie, and Carly Dawidowicz; sister-in-law, Carole Seward of Alton; brothers-in-law, Edward Morley and his wife Jenn of Leyden, and Scott Morley and his partner Renato Oliva of Seattle; as well as nieces and nephews, Michael Seward and his wife Stacy of Alton, Thomas Seward of Alton, Brian Seward and his partner Sherry of Lynn, Edward Morley and his wife Mary of Greenfield, Justin Morley and his wife Natalia of Lynn, and Melissa Morley Lapean and her husband Tim of Turners Falls. John was predeceased by his brother Thomas Seward.
Family and friends may call on Wednesday January 3, 2017 from 2:30 to 6:30 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. His Funeral Service will follow the calling hours at 6:30 in the Funeral Home. Burial will be private at a later date.
