Helen (Hudson) Bayko

Helen Bayko, 92, died Thursday April 27, 2017 at Country Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Newburyport. She was born in Newburyport on July 15, 1924 to the late Joseph E. and Selina (Kendall) Hudson. Helen was raised and educated in Newburyport and was a graduate of Newburyport High School class of 1943. She married the late Michael Joseph Bayko, Sr. in 1946. In 1951 the couple moved to Newbury, where they raised their family. 

Mrs. Bayko was a homemaker her entire life, a job that brought her great joy as her family was the most important thing in her life. 

Her family would like to thank the staff at Country Center for the wonderful care given to Helen during her time there.

Helen is survived by her children, Michael J Bayko Jr. of Newbury, David A. Bayko of Salisbury, Jeffrey L. Bayko of Newburyport, June F. Chaisson of Salisbury, Cathy L Bayko and her husband Larry of Exeter, and Lynda A. Bayko of Peabody, grandchildren, Melissa, Melanie, Alison, Charles, Lisa, Brandy, Brooke, Kristin, Courtney, Joseph, Jeffrey, Corey, Christopher, Jillian, and Tyler, as well as 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Helen was predeceased by her siblings, June F. Hudson, Mary Jane Terrio, and Joseph Hudson. 

Funeral Services and burial will be private. The Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950 is assisting Mrs. Bayko’s family with her funeral arrangements.
