Donald F. "Woody" Woodward

Donald F. “Woody” Woodward, 67, a resident of Fremont, NH died Sunday March 12, 2017 at Exeter Hospital in Exeter, NH. He was born on May 27, 1949 in Amesbury, MA to the late Donald A. and Mary Josephine Welch) Woodward. Don was a graduate of Newburyport High School class of 1968 and furthered his education graduating Essex Agricultural & Technical Institute. 

He was employed by Bailey’s Automotive until his retirement in 1993. In his retirement years Don enjoyed fishing spending time in his garden. He was an avid New England Sports fan and attend many events as well as watching all the games on television.

Donald is survived by his wife Darlene (Brown) Woodward of Fremont, daughters, MaryJo Fortune-Woodward and her wife Teresa of Fremont, and Paige Kraus of Fremont, grandchildren, Dante and Morgan Parrish, siblings, James Woodward and his wife Patricia of Seabrook, and Kathy Fowler and her husband Glenn of Newburyport, as well as several nieces and nephews whom Don adored. He also leaves behind his sister-in-laws, Diane San Soucie of Hampton, Linda Gouthier of ME, and Kathy Kraus of NC, brother-in-law, Andrew Brown of Plaistow and his “grand-dogs”, Delaney, Murphy, Izzy, and Harper. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Daniel Fonseca.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday March 15, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday March 16, 2017 at Immaculate Conception Church, burial at Highland Cemetery will be private at a later date. 

At Woody’s request his family has asked that if you will be attending his Funeral Mass please wear your favorite New England sports teams attire if possible.
