SALISBURY MASSACHUSETTS - Ann Marie (Theriault) Campanella, 68, of Salisbury, passed away on January 21, 2018 at High Pointe Hospice House, Haverhill, surrounded by her family.
Born in Salem MA, July 17th, 1949, the daughter of the late Robert and Theresa (Labrecque) Theriault. She was raised in Salem and attended St. Joseph’s and St. Ann’s grammar schools, and graduated from Salem high school. Ann Marie married her husband and soul mate, Bart Campanella in 1981who died in 2011. Ann Marie lived for a while in Alaska, then moved back to the north shore area and resided in Swampscott, Lynn, Beverly, Manchester and then spent the past 30 years living in Newburyport and Salisbury. Ann Marie worked in the medical field for most of her working career at various medical facilities. She retired from Hale Hospital in Haverhill, now Merrimack Valley Hospital, as a nuclear medicine technician.
During her courageous 17 year battle with cancer, she gave hope to others with the similar disease and also gave inspiration to the many lives she touched. She assisted in fundraising and awareness for cancer research and was always ready to share thoughts and comfort. Over the years, Ann Marie enjoyed many outdoor activities as tennis, skiing, salt and freshwater fishing, cycling, golf and gardening. She was also involved in various community groups and loved to cook and entertain her guest. Ann Marie was a lover of life, and one of her greatest loves was being with her family and friends and the very special times she was with any of her grandchildren.
Ann Marie is survived by her brother Dennis Theriault and wife Dolores of Northwood NH, sister Claire Theriault- Perkins and husband Christopher Perkins of Skowhegan ME. Step children and their spouses Gary Campanella and his wife Chara, Judy Collorusso and her husband Steven, Jim Campanella and his wife Oana, Ed Campanella and his wife Rie, and Daughter-in law Maria Jose Garcia Campanella, seven grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and many true loving friends that stayed by her side through her journey. Ann Marie was predeceased by her mother and father, Theresa and Robert Theriault, her husband Bart of 30 years, her son David Rossi, and her grandson Nicholas Colarusso.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday January 23, 2018 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM at the Twomey, LeBlanc, & Conte Funeral Home 193 High St. Newburyport, MA 01950. Parking available behind the Funeral Home. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Wednesday January 24, 2017 at Star of the Sea Church in Salisbury, followed by burial at Annunciation Cemetery in Danvers.
